1. When will we know our day and time for competition?
Answer: We will not know until the Monday or Tuesday before the weekend of competition
2. When do we arrive?
Answer: You will need to arrive 1 1/2 hours before your scheduled time , and we ask that if awards are within 2 hours of your performance time, we ask that you stay for awards.
3. What does my dancer wear to competition?
Answer: Dancers are to wear their Bataille Warm ups..and /or Bataille wear
4. Should my dancer come with hair and make up complete?
Answer: YES, all dancers should arrive in complete make up and hair..If your dance requires a hairpiece, it is permitted to come with it already secured.
5. What does my dancer need to bring to competition?
Answer; Please bring your make up kit, hair accessories ie: bobby pins, hairnets, barretts etc...costume labeled and bagged, tights or socks, and appropriate shoes. Please label shoes on the inside and costumes where the name can't be seen from the stage.Please make sure you remove tags that can be seen.
6. Is there an admission fee for me or my family?
Answer: Usually there is no fee for entrance
7. Why does my dancer need to be at rehearsal 2 weeks before?
Answer; our dance companies only meet one hour a week, therefore , it is imperative that the dancers practice their spacing at least 2 weeks straight before a competition, they simply can't make changes on the fly....If a student is absent due to illness on competition day, we let the judges know and usually keep the spacing the same.
8. Where do I get the DC makeup and how do I apply it?
Answer: You can purchase the necessary make up at Performance Dancewear, and there is a video on the web page under video gallery.
